Buffering ruins live sport faster than any other fault, and it almost always has a boring cause. Work through this ElephTV fix list in order, and stop at the step that cures it, because jumping to the last step first wastes the evening.
Check the Network First
Run a speed test on the same device, on the same Wi-Fi, at the same time as the buffering. A phone showing full bars in another room proves nothing about the television connection.
Move the TV box closer to the router if you can, or switch the television to a wired connection. One wall between a router and a TV box can cost more speed than a whole neighbourhood of other viewers.
Lower the Quality One Step
Drop the stream quality one step below maximum and let it settle for a minute. A stream that holds at the lower step is a network limit, not an app fault, and it beats a maximum quality stream that stops every ten seconds.
Close other streams on the same network while you test. A second television, a game download or a video call can quietly take the bandwidth the match needs.
Restart the App and Retest
Close Eleph TV fully, reopen it, and play the same channel again. If the fault follows one channel only, the channel feed itself is the likely cause, and switching channels for ten minutes is the honest cure.
The full first setup is covered in Eleph TV on Android TV, and the data angle is covered in data saving tips. The current file status is on the download page.
